In Geneva, on October 24 and 25, 2022 , the annual meeting of the Geneva Graduate Institute of International Studies (Yves Oltramare Chair on Religion and Politics), entitled “Femmes de pouvoir religieux" ("Women of religious power") took place. The meeting focused on the position of women in the three major monotheistic religions and the significant religious powers of women, which were significantly limited mainly in early capitalist society, essentially addressing the fact that today secularized societies are involved in a process of redefining gender relations

It was co-organized by the Institute for Eastern Churches of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Regensburg and the Volos Academy for Theological Studies.

The European Academy of Religion is pleased to announce its sixth Annual Conference, which will take place at the University of St Andrews (Scotland, UK) from 19 to 23 June 2023. The conference will be hosted by the St Andrews Encyclopaedia of Theology and Australian Catholic University.
The theme for this year’s gathering is Religion from the Inside, with keynote lectures planned by Prof. JeanLuc Marion, Dr Avivah Gottlieb Zornberg, Prof. Diwakar Acharya, and Dr John Makransky.
